A guild of Catholic men under the patronage of St. Joseph.
Adopted from the Bumbiro romutemo of Zimbabwe and adapted to the Church in North America, the Guild gathers monthly for prayer, formation, and works of mercy — in harmony with the local parish and diocese.
Spiritual growth, evangelisation, and works of mercy.
To nurture the faith of every member.
Regular Mass attendance, Holy Communion, evening prayer, the Consecration Prayer, and the 33 Days of Consecration to St. Joseph.
To be role models under the patronage of St. Joseph.
Active participation in the life of the Church within one's local parish, and in the Zimbabwe Catholic groups across Canada and the USA.
To serve through self-sacrifice and charity.
Coordinating activities that uphold family life — spiritually and morally — and offering comfort to members and others in times of bereavement.
Three stages of the bhanire.
Every member enters the Guild at Stage 1 and is formed over time, the colour and orientation of his scapular marking his stage.
